We haven’t gotten snow in a very long time; my sisters and I were impatiently waiting all day for it because we had seen there was a possibility that it could snow. Since no one had to go to work the next day we decided to make it a movie night, and stay up just watch movies and then we saw snow falling outside our window. It was marvelous we ran outside and just watched as the snow fell and took photos, we decided to go to bed and wake up early but my parents woke up before any of us and woke us up with much excitement for all of us to go out and play in the snow.
We were in our front yard but then decided to go out and see where else there was snow so we jumped in the car and headed to where there was more snow and it did not disappoint. It was so marvelous seeing snow where it’s usually so green. Later on other families arrived with their kids and boogie boards to slide on the snow with and their dogs looking very confused to as to what they were walking on. Many families were taking family photos and everyone was in such a wonderful mood once we got home we had some hot chocolate and relaxed before going out again. It was such a wonderful time, for New Years Eve night I spent it with Erik’s family to bring in the New Year we had delicious food and it was a great time. I hope everyone has a fantastic new year and that it brings much happiness, joy and love to everyone.
I don’t really make new years resolutions because I think one can start to live differently whenever they choose. It doesn’t necessarily have to be in the beginning of a new year, so this blog post isn’t about ideas for resolutions but an idea that might help to keep resolutions and a new resolution idea. Many resolutions are to lose weight or to travel more or even to be more productive and not procrastinate as much (that’s usually mine) here are three tips for your resolution.
1. Take it week by week
If ones resolution is to be healthy then one week you could say you’ll have more fruit and the next to drink more water and so on. So each week you’re doing something healthy and it’s not as drastic as saying I will not have anything that is unhealthy again. Which can result in ending of the resolution a bit faster, so just take it week by week and see how you do and if you break the resolution its ok next week you can start again.
2. Resolutions don’t have to be drastic
A resolution can be anything, so trying something new can be a new food that you haven’t had before or going on a weekend getaway. Even saying you’ll read a book that you have been meaning to make time for is a great resolution also trying a class such as painting, photography, yoga or anything that might interest you is a great way to try something new and get out of ones comfort zone.
3. Be Positive!
Try to not be to hard on yourself it’s easy to hold a very high standard for oneself, and when one doesn’t accomplish what they sought out to do it’s easy to be a tad bit negative. But it’s ok just be positive and know that it’s not the end of the world and learn from it to try and avoid either the temptation or to plan better so that you can accomplish what your goal is.
I hope this helps out anyone with a Resolution and let me know what you might do to keep your resolution.
I wanted to create four looks that would be New Years appropriate, I also threw in two looks that would be my dream to wear. But you could recreate them as well as all the others if you wanted.
I wanted to make a classic look but with certain key staples, this look would be great to bring in the New Year it has all the classics red lip, cat eye, black pump. But what draws your attention is the detail in the dress and the handbag, which will make sure you shine all night.
I love dressing up for new years but I tend to go for the casual side most of the time, which is why I chose to make a look with pants, flats and a nice top. I like to e comfortable and be able to not have to worry about anything so this is a good option when your going to a party with family or friends and want to be festive but comfortable which can still look good.
These shoes and handbag have been on my radar all year so I had to create a look specifically for them. They are all by Valentino and they are just gorgeous I added the rockstud flats as well as the
rockstud slingback pumps, which are both so gorgeous. The accessories are simple as well as the nail color because the shoes and handbag are stars of the show on this look.
Now this is my new years movie look, I feel like an actress could possibly wear this look in a movie role the dress is a vibrant red with the perfect touch of lace the shoes don’t take away from the dress but complement it perfectly as well as standing. The nails are pretty but don’t distract from the dress, and for the lips I chose a Sephora lip butter as to not clash with the dress and a perfect smokey eye to pull everything together as well as gorgeous earrings to frame the face.

Erik and I went on a drive the other day to run an errand and we decided to make a day of it, so he wanted to know if my parents wanted to come along for the ride. We had a very nice time, sight seeing and talking as we drove in our mini road trip. The views were so lovely, I love seeing animals such as horses and cows and beautiful landscapes with such a gorgeous blue sky it was pretty chilly so it was lovely fall weather. As we were driving we could see a lot of cool sculptures such as these horses and the dinosaur and people would pull over and take pictures.
One of my sisters had her birthday and we celebrated her and had such great food from breakfast till dinner everything was delicious. These were my favorite flowers that she received.
For my lunch break from school I went to The Old Spaghetti Factory with my sister and we had a lovely lunch. We hadn’t been there before so we decided to give it a try since the line was pretty long to enter so we decided it must be good. The décor was very different and I loved how they had a trolley inside we got a booth facing it and it was really cool. The food was also good we both had a salad, and spaghetti and meatballs with a sauce made from scratch.
To finish it I have to include the stairs I have to go up and down at the library at my school since they are a crucial part of my week.
Hope every one has a great week
