Truly Blessed

These two weeks have been intense ! I am more than ready for February to begin. I had so much to do that I felt like I was wasting time by sleeping. Luckily my family and Erik are always so fantastic that once I talk with them I feel so much better. My sisters are always so giving in their own way, but my sister Bella completely surprised me.

I am always doing some kind of work on my computer (gifted by my sisters Bella and Rebekah) or on my iPhone whether it be reading my textbooks (which I download onto iBook or my Kindle App) writing a paper or doing work for my job I am always doing something on my Mac or my iPhone. There are times where I don't want to take my computer because I don't want to carry it around with me all of the time so Bella sees me constantly working on my phone. So on Friday out of the blue she asked me to go with her to check out iPad accessories I thought she wanted an opinion on a new cover for hers, so I went unknowing that I was going to pick out my very own. I chose the black iPad mini and I could not be happier with it ! It truly is amazing I don't have to carry my computer everywhere and my phones battery life is lasting a lot longer now that I am not constantly using it. I am so blessed to have my wonderful family they're always so supportive and my parents have taught us that if we ever need anything to always help one another. The iPad is fantastic but what is even better is having a wonderful family and sisters that would do anything to make each others life easier whether it be with technology or a helping hand I am so fortunate to call them my family and to have them in my life.

What I Would Wear

These outfits are very different one is sophisticated but still not very dressed up because it has jeans. The color of the top is one of my favorite colors it is also a peplum top which I am obsessed with right now.

I think it matches perfectly with the nude heels from Sergio Rossi and the amazingly gorgeous Valentino handbag, the accessories are simple but give it an extra touch of femininity. The second outfit is very similar to what I have been wearing because of the rainy weather but with a slight twist I wear an olive green jacket and this outfit has a vest the boots are very cute as well. I am always wearing Toms and decided to pair this look with boots to see how it would work and I really liked the way it looked. The handbag is from Longchamp and I really like how these handbags are so versatile and can be worn with so many different things and still look fabulous. The accessories are simple because since the vest has studs around the color and the boots also have studs I didn’t want to take to much attention away from those details. I hope you like the looks I made.

Trying New Beauty Products

I am long over due for a Sephora Trip and these are the products that I am thinking of buying. Before I go to Sephora I see the new products that they have or what products have good reviews. I was using the cover girl volume lash mascara for a long time, but one day I went to Sephora and fell in love with Benefits They’re Real Mascara and have been purchasing it ever since.

Although I love that mascara and it's a must have, I want to try this urban decay mascara because it has such great reviews and everything that I have bought from urban decay always has such great quality that I cant resist not getting it. This Dior Lip glow has been on my mind for a while and now that I see it everywhere I need to give it a try. I have dark circles I’m pretty sure it has to do with my sleep routine or lack of but like I said urban decay and benefit have great products and these two seem to have great ratings so I will try them out I have a Laura Mercier concealer and love it ! but I like to try new things. I have wavy hair and I have always taken great care of it, I don’t dye it and I have stopped straightening it and I use heat protectant when I use the blow dryer. I have been meaning to try the Wen by Chaz Dean for a very long time, I believe since July when I saw it in an infomercial so I would love to finally try it out.

For me doing my nails is therapeutic, the first two photos are designs that I have worn. I like natural nude colors for days where I know that I am not going to be able to fix any chips right away. For the second photo I have done a similar look except I had a light pink glitter from OPI and instead of red the top color I wore was a darker pink from Essie. I have started trying making designs and I have yet to perfect them but the two bottom photos are great designs that can be worn for spring or summer.

Details Makes An Outfit

There is nothing better than finding a great outfit, when I go shopping I tend to pick clothes that have something special and that can be combined with other clothes easily. My older sister Rebekah has always had leather jackets in her wardrobe she was thirteen and bought her first leather jacket while I was still wearing Disney characters on my shirts.

The first photo reminds me a lot of her style because she has always had an edge to her style and the leather jacket with the feminine skirt add that certain edge. Studs are everywhere, but for those that are wanting to try studs out without having to purchase something completely studded this blouse is perfect for that because of the stud detailing on the hem of the sleeves also that knit sweater plus the blouse are a perfect combination. Sequence is my weakness I love it and will purchase pretty much anything that has sequence and the sequenced sleeves on the black top adds just the right touch of chicness. Peplum tops have been catching my eye and are on my next shopping trip list they are feminine and can be worn up or down a fine example of a casual peplum top is in the fourth photo where they are worn with distressed jeans I just love that while outfit. I am not one to shy away from color, when I was in elementary school you would be able to find me in the field instantly because I had neon colors every day of the week. This orange skirt adds just the right amount of color, and by paring the orange skirt with a darker green top the skirt isn’t competing for attention and it adds the focus to the gorgeous details of the skirt .

These are my favorite blog posts to do, mainly because I don’t have to think of a budget and I can make any outfit I want and incorporate items that I cant afford right now. Another major bonus is that I can find pieces that I do own and see what I can buy and try new things with them. I am always going through my closet and trying out different ways to wear clothing pieces or accessories so that I am not wearing the same outfit all the time (although I think that we all have a favorite outfit we use often). I am absolutely in love with these looks I hope you like them as well.

It has been pretty cold in California; with this weather I find that I want to be comfortable and casual. These looks are a perfect example of what I would wear, wonderful cozy sweaters and leggings with a scarf and the accessories are simple. I have been wearing things similar to this but I have yet to find the perfect boots my sister bought some exactly like these but I don’t have much brown so I would probably wear black boots instead.

The prints for her pre-fall 2013 collection are perfect they are not overwhelming; I have always admired Carolina because she always has such poise and her collections reflect that. I love my brunette hair, and I have natural wavy curly hair but I have it straightened because I find that I like that style better for me. These hairstyles are straight but have a different tone of brunette and in different lengths. Not every style is perfect for each face shape and not every brunette color is made for someone’s skin tone it all depends of your skins undertone. I hope you like them.
