MANGO SS12 FASHION SHOW

I am in love with Mango, I have always liked them but since my recent trip to Spain and going into the stores everyday I am just obsessed. There is a Mango store in every block and sometimes three stores to a block, they all have amazing things and also wonderful service. This fashion show is great, I would wear all of the pieces in the collection and the great thing is that they are affordable. Enjoy !

La Jolla - Spring Break

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I went to La Jolla Cove, the weather was great although it did get a bit chilly around four but with a light sweater that problem is solved. I really enjoyed myself especially after such a hard move I was able to relax at the beach. Watching the Seals is great, they are so cute and seeing them swim and then go to the shore is great. I could stay and watch them for hours but I couldn't because we wanted to get to the sand. We also went and climbed some rocks to get to see the waves crashing into them and see the crabs that are between the rocks which was really nice. I had such a great time, unfortunately I did not get a tan so I am still very white and I will have to head to the beach more often.

Accessories

These accessories are so fun that I think they will be great for spring. The bracelets from Kate Spade can add a uniqueness to any outfit. The necklace from Cara accessories seems to delicate and feminine that it is hard to not love it. My coin pouch is not very cute but this coin pouch from Deux Lux is so pretty and who doesn't love glitter. Now my all time favorite is the card case from Lodis, I have a card case but since I have so many cards now it is time to find a new one and I think the card case from Lodis would be prefect.

Calvin Klein Collection / Fall 2012 RTW

Calvin Klein is a classic favorite and with this collection you can really see why that is. I really enjoyed going through this collection because it still had color which is very important form me. I loved the style of the dresses and the belt that he incorporated to the coats. Just wonderful !

Holly Fulton / Fall 2012 RTW

This collection is very different to the other collection that I have posted. I like how she incorporated color to a season where many people get all of their black out and she was not afraid of using bold print. I really like it

Celebrity Inspiration

These looks are adorable and I just can't get enough of them. Lauren's dress is gorgeous and I love how it accentuates the waist not to mention the fabric seems amazing. Giuliana always has flawless taste but she really did nock it out of the park with this Rachel Zoe dress. I have been obsessing over printed jeans and Minka styles them perfectly with a simple top and sweater letting the pants take center stage. The dress that Lea is wearing is a great color for spring and I just want to literally have it in my closet so I could wear it everyday.

Mikoh Swimwear

I love Mikoh Swimwear they are so pretty and by just seeing the swimsuit pieces I want to go to the beach. They are gorgeous and I don’t think that you would ever want to cover them up unless you also have one of their cover-ups because they are just stunning. Their collection to me is about time spent by the ocean and having a great time. I posted many pictures because they are gorgeous the swimwear is perfect and the background just makes me want to go to the beach.

But I love Rochas so I knew that I would be amazed, and I was right the gowns at the end of the show are spectacular! I love them so much I love how they are simple but yet you cant keep your eyes off of them because they also have such great craftsmanship. I really liked this collection.

Truffle Tarts with Raspberries

I love chocolate and berries especially when they are together. This recipe is like heaven because it has chocolate and raspberries you just cant go wrong with this. It looks delicious and would be a great dessert for a night with family and friends.

Ingredients

•1 1/2 cups fine chocolate wafer crumbs (from Oreo cookies or chocolate wafers)

•6 tablespoons melted butter

•1 recipe Dark Chocolate Truffles, recipe follows, whipped but not shaped into balls

•6 fresh raspberries, plus extra for serving

Directions

Use a fork to mix together the chocolate wafer crumbs and butter. Spray the cups of a 6-muffin tin with a vegetable spray. Line the cups with strips of parchment or waxed paper, cut so that they are as wide as the diameter of each cup and long enough to overhang the sides (you'll need this overhang to remove the tarts). Use the bottom of a small glass to press the crumbs over the bottom and sides of the muffin cups, building the sides up to only about 1 1/2 inches. Place a raspberry in the center of each crust and with a pastry bag or small plastic bag with the corner snipped off, fill the tarts with the truffle mixture. Smooth the tops and refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.

Dark Chocolate Truffles:

1/2 cup heavy cream

8 ounces good-quality (70 percent) bittersweet chocolate, chopped

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 cup cocoa powder, for dusting

In a saucepan, bring the cream just to a simmer over low heat. Pour the cream over the chocolate in a bowl and let stand about 10 minutes to melt the chocolate. Add the vanilla and stir until smooth. Set aside to cool for 1 hour at room temperature. Then beat the chocolate at medium speed until it gets thick and light colored. Spread over the bottom of a baking dish and smooth the top. Refrigerate about 2 hours, until firm.

Pour the cocoa powder onto a deep plate or shallow bowl. Use a melon baller or small ice cream scoop to scoop out balls of chocolate; place them on the plate with the cocoa powder and roll between 2 forks to completely coat with the cocoa powder. Then use the forks to carefully transfer them to a parchment or waxed lined baking sheet.
